I have a Coach

My second ever blog entry. For 2009 I am working with a coach for the first time in 20 years of racing. I got my program on Jan 5th and started completing the daily workouts. I hired Chris Mayhew from JBV coaching. I will be updating the blog as time goes on with how the workouts and my fitness are coming. Also for 2009, I hope to become a USA cycling level 3 coach. I have completed all the requirements and I am just waiting to hear bake for USA cycling. Working with Chris will help me with my coaching. On to other things, Blue Collar Cycling will be in hibernation for the next few months, hopefully to reappear for Cyclocross, if I can find sponsors. I am working with Rick at Bike and Hike in Longmont Colorado to start a team out of Bike and Hike. We have some great sponsors and Rick is a terrific guy. I had a very hard time finding sponsors for 2009. With all the talk of a "weak" economy people are scaling back from sponsorships.
